CollegeSearch Announces Top Indian Colleges in 2017 Students’ Choice Awards

CollegeSearch.in, India’s leading college selection and admission site, has announced the winners of its Students’ Choice Awards for colleges, based exclusively on student and alumni reviews. With participation from colleges and universities more than doubling and enthusiastic student feedback pouring in, IITs, NITs, NIFTs and Delhi University have scored big with private universities such as Symbiosis and Manipal also making a mark.

The awards this year were conducted across 15 categories such as Best Canteen, Best Infrastructure, Best Startup Incubators, Safest Campuses and Most Socially Responsible Colleges to mention a few. The University, which houses about 63 colleges and over 50,000 seats, has been the most favored campus to feature in Bollywood movies such as Rockstar, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Band Baaja Baraat.

Down south, Osmania University College for Women has been awarded for being Most Socially Responsible. With an NCC unit that is about 40 years old, it has inculcated superior moral values of discipline, leadership and obedience. A four-time winner of the Best Institutions Prize among institutions in the senior wing, the institution sends a significant number of candidates for Basic Leadership and Republic Day Camps in Delhi.

Among B Schools, IIM Udaipur has been awarded the Most International Students Friendly College. It provides international exposure to students in the form of student exchange programs, foreign internships and short-term courses in association with international universities. This is to introduce to students to diverse cultural values and make them aware of laws to expand their academic intellect.

NITs and IITs also have stayed strong in the race, with IIT Patna being awarded the Best Startup Incubator for diminishing the distance between academics and industry, by giving an opportunity for students to display their technology-based ideas and supporting the successful development of the same. IIT Madras bagged the Best Industry Exposure award for having a diverse mix of recruiters including engineering firms, banks, analytical companies, FMCGs and startups for placements and internships along with research internship opportunities.

Nestled among snow-covered peaks along the picturesque Dal lake, NIT Srinagar is a timeless beauty across all seasons with breathtaking views, winning the award for Most Beautiful Campus. The students from this institution cannot help but be drawn to its beauty. NIT Trichy won the award for Most Popular Clubs and Societies having associations across academics, fine arts, culture and community for fostering students who are all-rounders.
