Steelbird launches consumer connect initiative


New Delhi, Jul 7 (UNI) Helmet maker Steelbird Hi-Tech India Limited today said it has developed Steelbird Connect Mobile application to ensure direct consumers connect with the brand.

“Steelbird Connect Verify” is first of its kind mobile based application in this segment allows customer to check the authenticity of the range of products they buy. All the Steelbird products from July 1, 2017 will have a unique QR code and buyer can simply download the application on their mobile phone and by scanning QR code every consumer will be ensured of the genuineness of the product they have purchased, the company said in a statement.

Commenting on this initiative of Steelbird, Rajeev Kapur, MD said, “In order to counter the fake ISI helmets available in the market Steelbird has taken many bold steps and launch of Steelbird Connect is one of the initiatives to safeguard our customers from fake and counterfeits.”

The mobile application has also linked with a marketing promotional scheme of Steelbird with a motive to expand the certified helmets market and encourage users to go for only BSI certified helmets and other products.

Through the campaign, Steelbird aims to capture another 25 per cent market share. The company has earmarked a budget of Rs one-crore for the launch of its campaign.

Sharing the marketing plans, Shailendra Jain, Global Group Head – Sales & Marketing, Steelbird Hi-Tech India Ltd. Said, “This app for the Smartphone is developed as a promotional marketing strategy of Steelbird. It will also help the brand to penetrate in new territories, besides do away with the fake Steelbird products existing in the market.”
